They played in Prague this Sunday, so I saw this cover on their merch stall in various dimensions. They even have similarly themed tour posters where this goo combines with their faces.
Much has been written about the insanity of obscure album covers from the 60s or 70s. While the unhinged psychedelia and ill-advised intentions on cover art from those days have been sufficiently documented elsewhere (as well as over-the-top glitzy slime from the 80s), here is your resource for insane, weird, awful and miscarried covers of today.
Back then cover artists had only scissors, cameras, LSD, joints and occasionally crack to work with – today people have Photoshop in addition to all of that and the weirdness does not stop. MP3s may be killing the physical form of music, but for some unexplained reason insane cover art does not seem to suffer!

FAQ
Q: What is your system of rating?
A: I use three categories: Moderately insane, Very insane, bATsh!t
Q: How do you choose the pictures?
A: They have to look weird and they have to be from this year. The challenge is to post one artwork every day, none of them older than 01/01/2010.
Q: Can I suggest an insane cover art that I like?
A: Yep, please do so (as long as the record in question was released in 2010).
